Gerlinde was born and raised in Melbourne. She enjoyed art at school and in her spare time during her teens. Having worked in the IT industry in Sydney, Melbourne and the USA during the past 30 years, she now lives in the Blue Mountains and has rediscovered the joy of being creative.
Gerlinde enjoys using mixed media. She fondly recalls when she was 15, working into the wee hours on a project when she ran out of paint. Determined to finish, she snuck into the family garage and 'borrowed' her fathers tyre-black.
Gerlinde now makes sure she has all the tools of trade; working with Watercolours, Acrylic, Pastels, Charcoal and her favourite - the pencil.
